Group outings

Whether on a club outing, a class reunion, a family gathering or a company event – communication is always relevant. The Museum of Communication offers various lines of approach through play, learning or interacting. There is something of interest for everyone.

The programme is varied: from the ever-popular children’s birthday parties, to guided tours specially adapted to your needs, to renting the entire museum. Choose the offer that is suited to your needs.

Guided tours for groups

A joint outing as an event to remember, unexpected stories and informative insights – a group tour allows you to immerse yourself in the world of the Museum of Communication. Our communicators will surprise you and your group by offering a custom-made tour of the core exhibition or the temporary exhibition NOTHING.
As part of the exhibition NOTHING , you can also book the one-hour workshop "Improvisation Games". You'll do a lot with nothing.

Tours for groups of up to 20 persons take approximately 60 minutes and cost CHF 250 (plus admission fees). We offer tours in German and French. On request, we also provide tours in Spanish and Italian. For tours for schools click here.

Please make your group tour booking at least 14 days in advance of your desired date. Additional charges apply for cancellations and amendments to previously confirmed tours.

Please book your group’s visit in advance even if you do not intend to avail of a guided tour.

Tandem at the Museum

“TaM – Tandem at the Museum” is an uncomplicated offer for people who enjoy museum visits and conversations about culture. TaM brings together people from different generations and backgrounds. This is how it works: Two people visit the museum, choose an object, make up a story about it and upload it to the “MiS – Musée imaginaire Suisse” [Switzerland’s Imaginary Museum] platform. It is a task that mobilises, stimulates and motivates people, combines both the analogue and the digital world and promotes exchange between peers. Tandems are initiated by people who are already familiar with the TaM concept and wish to become involved on a voluntary basis. In this way people visit the museum who have never been here before and would not make the trip their own.

“TaM – Tandem at the Museum” is brought to you by Kuverum Services in collaboration with the Migros-Kulturprozent and other partners.
