The best participatory projects are the ones that develop autonomous dynamics and continue to evolve independently. For that reason, we always enjoy listening to the programmes broadcast on Radio Silbergrau. The Museum of Communication initiated this very special project and continues to support Radio Silbergrau.
Senior citizens on the radio
Several years ago, a group of active senior citizens became dedicated producers of radio programmes. The group is now part of the 'Radio Silbergrau' association.
Regular courses ensure that enthusiastic individuals are brought up to speed with editorial and technical aspects by famous former radio broadcasters. Radio Silbergrau’s programmes are produced in their own studio by senior citizens for senior citizens. This has now resulted in a service and information channel dealing with subjects and issues that otherwise do not get much traction on mainstream radio.
You can listen to the station every four weeks on Tuesday at 5 pm and on Sunday at 11 am on Radio RaBe 95,6MHz, and on Monday at 9 pm on Kanal K.
