Ernst Albrecht Heiniger, 1940, poster collection Museum of comunication, Berne
With one hand propped on her hip and the other hand holding up a telephone to the observer - no writing, yet so clear: use the telephone!
The post advertisement with the girl in traditional costume, designed by Ernst Albrecht Heiniger in 1940, is just one of 3,000 posters and designs among the treasures of the museum's graphic arts collection.
The graphic arts collection includes, aside from posters, 15,000 engravings, drawings, watercolours, woodcuts from illustrated newspapers and 200 albums.
